Great hotel

Visited Paris and stayed at the Franklin D Roosevelt Hotel from March 17-20th 06.
Firstly, Paris is a fabulous city, larger than imagined and full of fantastic architecture, culture, museums, shopping, food and people.
Franklin D Roosevelt is a great hotel, brilliantly located a few minutes walk from the Champs Elysees, and on one of the main Metro lines. Very classy interior, lovely rooms, very helpful and attentive staff, nice buffet breakfast and fantastic location.
Would suggest anyone planning a trip to Paris makes the effort to speak some French - even if you only manage ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ - because it makes all the difference, and we found speaking French with the hotel staff made for great service.
Would recommend this hotel, and when we’re next in Paris would definitely stop here again.
